Look who has replaced Google to become the world's second-most valuable company

NEW DELHI: E-commerce major Amazon has become the second most valuable company by surpassing tech giant Google. With the current market capitalisation of $768 billion, Amazon is now ranked number two in terms of being the most valuable company in the world.
Alphabet Inc which has value of $761 billion held the second spot earlier, while the list is topped by Apple with a value at $889 billion.
The surge witnessed by Amazon can be attributed to the growth made by the company's CEO and founder Jeff Bezos, who has an estimated fortune of $130 billion. On the other hand, the recent Facebook data scandal is seen as a reason for the change in position of Google.
